>> live, local, and late breaking. this is wbal-tv news in hd. >> dozens of customers are out of power after an underground fire in little italy. good evening. i am deborah weiner. most of little italy is still shut down after the power was cut. we have the latest developments from little italy. >> we are in the heart of little italy here on high street. residents and restaurants have been without power for 11 hours. utility crews are still on the scene. an underground cable failed and caused a fire. they tell us that most of the 120 customers without power will not have it on until tomorrow morning. let's take you back to 7:00 a.m. this morning. flames shot out from the ground. bge and fire crews responded to

on tonight. the remaining 80 should get the power back on some time tomorrow morning. we're live in little italy for wbal-tv 11 news. >> a three-alarm fire has left three homes damaged in northwest baltimore today. it happened just after 4:00 this morning. firefighters on the scene were met with heavy flames coming from the home. the fire caused damage to two adjacent homes but not result in any injuries. >> it was very scary. the flames were huge. i have never seen anything like it in my life. it was so close and frightening. >> investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire. howard county police and identified the two people found dead inside a home last night. police say the 35-year-old and 39-year-old both died from apparent gunshot wounds. it happened in the 3700 block of bonnybridge place. a preliminary investigation

shows the victims lived together and had children. a child reportedly found them and ask a neighbor to: one. the police say there was no sign of forced injuries -- injury. they're working to see if it was a case of domestic assault. the search is on for the driver responsible for a deadly hit- and-run. a motorcycle and car were traveling northbound around seven last night. the car struck a motorcyclist and fled the scene. the motorcyclist was thrown and later died at shock trauma. the police are searching for a new model black mercedes missing the driver's side rear view mirror. if you have any information, please call. the hartford county sheriff's office says a young man was killed early saturday morning when his car crossed into another lane, hit a vehicle head-on. it happened around 1:30 on hanson road. the authorities say he was taken

to local hospital where he later died. the driver of the other vehicle remains in serious condition. and overnight accident in the end of a county seriously injured three people. firefighters say it happened shortly after midnight. whittle the vehicle lost control and struck the tree. two 19-year-old males are in critical condition. a female is also there was life -- non-life threatening injuries. the search is on for an escaped inmate. paul bryan palmer escaped from the central district around to o'clock on friday afternoon. he was complaining of a hand injury. as officers looked into it, he was able to flee on foot. he was being held on an attempted murder charge. the police believe he is traveling with the female. if you have any information, call 911. ♪
